Once a student's spot has been reserved in an API program by submitting the confirmation deposit, parents/guardians become subject to the standard cancellation policy as follows:
Program cancellations and requests for refunds must be made by the parent/guardian in writing.
Refunds and cost liability are determined based on the date when written cancellation notice is received from the parent/guardian.
WITHDRAWAL 61 OR MORE DAYS PRIOR TO PROGRAM START DATE:
Parents/guardians are responsible for the application and confirmation deposits.
WITHDRAWAL 1- 60 DAYS PRIOR TO THE PROGRAM START DATE:
Parents/guardians are responsible for 50% of the program cost plus the application and confirmation deposits.
WITHDRAWAL ON THE PROGRAM START DATE OR AFTER THE PROGRAM HAS BEGUN:
Parents/guardians are responsible for 100% of the program cost.
- The application deposit is not refundable unless a student is not admitted into the API program or the program is cancelled. The application deposit is not refundable if a student and his/her parents fail to complete an application and do not submit all of the necessary application components.
- The confirmation payment is not refundable for any reason unless the program is cancelled by API.
- No refund will be given if a student is removed from a program as a result of a violation of API's Program Agreement (included in the acceptance forms).
- Parents/guardians are responsible for program fees according to the Schedule of Program Fees. Should a student withdraw within the time frame listed above, having not paid the due portion of the program fee, parents/guardians will be invoiced for the portion due and held responsible for paying that amount. If the parents/guardians are negligent in this agreement, legal action may be taken.
